The famous Haole brownies found at ’Akahi Dinning Center of Kamehameha Schools. An all time favorite, often served with the most anticipated meal of the school year...warrior plate.
Ingredients
1 1/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
5 oz (10 Tbs) butter
3 medium eggs
1/2 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
3/4 Tbs baking powder
3/4 cup walnuts, optional

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350˚.
2. Cream brown sugar, sugar, salt, and butter together. Add eggs and vanilla, and mix until creamy. Add flour and baking powder and mix for one minute. Stir in walnuts if desired.
3 .Pour mixture into a 9x13 greased baking pan and bake at 350˚ for 25 minutes.
